Introducing MailFusion v2 - the all new newsletter system in FusionCM

Cutting edge email newsletter functionality keeps getting better in efelle media's own eGearCMS website content management platform

In an ongoing effort to provide our customers with the latest and greatest in functionality and usability, we are introducing the all new MailFusion v2 module. It is a newly redesigned and redeveloped newsletter module incorporating a new template system, campaign builder and delivery system. Let's take a look at the new module and its new exciting features!

Templates

One of the first new features in MailFusion v2 is the template system. Where the old newsletter system required a template to be designed and coded outside of the system, MailFusion v2 allows you, the user, to design your own templates directly in the system, using a very easy to use system that breaks down the newsletter template in up to 10 sections for content. Each of those sections can further be broken down in a number of different configurations using a 1, 2 or 3 column layout. This quickly and easily creates the newsletter structure that can then be filled with a number of different types of data during the campaign creation process. What's more is that you can create as many templates in the system as you want! Create a different template for every occasion!

Campaigns

After creating the templates, they are available in the newly updated campaign builder. The campaign builder utilizes the different content areas that are created in the template and lets you quickly and easily determine what type of content you would like to fill it with. Every block can be filled with regular content using the ever familiar WYSIWYG editor (which was the one and only way to enter content in the previous version of MailFusion), or, to speed up newsletter content creation, you can select a number of content types that are driven by the content you have previously already created in the system. Want to link some recent or featured products from your CommerceFusion eCommerce site? That's possible with a single click! Looking to use some of your blog posts to build out your newsletter? Not a problem! When you select some of the existing site content to build your newsletter, MailFusion will create a nicely pre-formatted block of content that will always look clean and consistent and use the style information you previously set up in your template so everything fits together perfectly. The generated content will also include links back into your site to the actual items or articles. It's a great way to utilize your existing site content to quickly build your newsletters.

Delivery

Along with the interface changes, extensive changes were made to the delivery system. This includes a simpler way to track links in the newsletters, as well as improved delivery through a totally revamped delivery process. All the open and click tracking you've come to be familiar with is also still integrated.

So how do we compare?

The million dollar question - how does the new system compare to other systems out there and what is the system capable of? Well, I'm happy to tell you that you can create newsletters that rival some of the top notch newsletters that have previously been sent by industry leading companies. More than just telling you this, I have included a few side by side screenshots below of some high-end newsletter designs used by 3rd party companies next to the same done through our MailFusion v2 system.
