eCatalog Website Design for Chicago-based Commercial & Industrial Construction Equipment Supplier

Atlas Bobcat has been a leading provider of construction equipment in the Greater Chicago, Illinois area since 1965. Part of the esteemed Atlas Companies, they offer an expansive range of new and used machinery, alongside exceptional service and parts support. With six locations across Illinois and Northwest Indiana, Atlas Bobcat is dedicated to meeting all construction equipment needs, from sales to service.

Project Objectives

For this eCatalog website redesign, our main goals included:

• Ensuring cohesiveness across Atlas’ four sites to present a unified brand identity
• Integrating the red color scheme with a clean and clear interface
• Adding multilingual support for Spanish and Mandarin
• Streamlining the virtual showroom for easier navigation and information access

Website Design

For the design of this website, our design team used their existing red color scheme and ensured the aesthetic remained clean, clear, and conversational. The design emphasizes a consultative and solutions-focused approach, making it easy for users to find information on products, promotions, services, and company details, thereby fostering a more engaging user experience.

Website Build

This website was developed on FusionCMS, a content management system, paired with BigCommerce for the eCatalog aspects, combining robust flexibility with product efficiency. FusionCMS was chosen for its powerful customization capabilities, allowing us to create a cohesive look across the client's four sites while integrating essential features such as a virtual showroom, multilingual support, and a comprehensive owner portal. BigCommerce bolsters the site's product functionalities, enabling seamless inventory management and an intuitive shopping experience. This setup allows for an extensive showcase of the inventory and services offered, tailored to meet the needs of a diverse clientele.
